*Matalan* Faux Leather Jackets and party dresses

What a day it has been! To relax this evening I decided to search through all my old CDs and play some oldies, I have so many singles from back in the day and now that I think about it, how pointless it was for me to buy them with my pocket money, I think I had too much to waste. I would always buy the albums too but I guess I was of the generation where buying CD singles was all the rage. Now I don't even play them which is crazy and to be honest I don't know how I still have them all these years later. Tiny little bit of a hoarder I tell you! I'm working on that though I promise.

Old tune rediscovered this eve is All Saints-War of Nerves
Wow does it take me back!

Right so lots of social event coming up and so lots of decisions to made regarding outfits and make up! I thought I would do a post about some little chic bargains I saw at Matalan!

I just love this shirt dress from Matalan's Et Vous range, it feels gorgeous and actually really good quality which I am sure is not what most of you would expect from Matalan. I think it will look fabulous in the office but also will look pretty glamourous with the right accessories for drinks after work. Best of all it's only £30! but you know they have some treasures in there if you just look.

Also if you know me then you will know how much I have loved rocking some sexy leather effect trousers the past couple of years, day time to nights out they just go with anything. Now I have finally finally got myself a pretty delightful faux leather jacket!! It had to be perfect so I randomly found one whilst having a little snobby browse through Matalan! Ha! Now I have been complimented on this jacket and how when I wear it, I look like a sexy bitch and I have noticed I have been turning heads in it....well I think it's a combo of 4inch heels, power suit trousers, statement scarf, berry lips waltzing down the street....get the right mix ladies and you feel wonderful! Yes of late I have been loving the sharp professional look as I feel post university I have had to up my game in the fashion stakes. Got to keep evolving and learning;)

Here is a similar faux leather biker jacket to the one I purchased but instead of black, it's a utterly gorgeous maroon shade, I tried it on and it was great. In the end I picked the black slightly different style but this one very nearly beat it.

It's quiet difficult to adapt to being so smart looking on a weekday and thinking at the weekend, wait can I go out in these short shorts with tights and a hoodie with ugg boots? I'm really not a young undergrad lass anymore (it's only been a year guys, a year and I miss it dearly!) but I bloody love fashion and all the fun that it brings so you know what? For now I will still be rocking the brights, the bodycons, the stilettos, berry lips, the denim shorts and uni hoodies! Life is too short to play it safe but I'm learning it's actually just as fun to have a wardrobe which can work professional and sexy to a damn good night out and on the other end of the scale lazy comfy day out with good friends.

And to finish this post off about little Matalan treasures....

I could not resist trying this classy dress on which I think is just perfect for date night! It's true to size and well, with some fabulous heels I think it would be just perfect. Why so? It has a netting skirt so it makes your waist look tiny! The sweetheart neckline is so pretty and the sheer polka dot mesh gives it such an elegant look. Plus I just love the fire colours, it's rather unusual, like a vintage dress with a modern twist! (On a side note! Yes I may have heard that line a squillion times on Young Apprentice tonight when they popped into serve afternoon tea at the delightful neighbours pad: Blenheim palace. "We want 1940s with a modern twist, oh darling I am 17 years old and I know everything these is to know about life and business, vintage with a modern twist ok?" Absolutely hilarious show seeing these little know it all kids backstabbing to get to the top, it's amazing how people react when they think they are going to be blamed for something isn't it? Point the finger at someone else....I just love it when the big boss Alan Sugar puts them in their place on the show)

Lots more of where that came from! Hope you enjoyed my post!

Until next time!
